OMG-these are the real and unknown facts behind Vernal Equinox, the first day of spring!! That’s why it is special.
As per the astronomical predictions, in the Northern Hemisphere, spring had begun from March 20, Sunday. In the Northern Hemisphere, spring (also called as vernal) is also known with the name March equinox. In the southern Hemisphere, it is called as the “autumnal (fall) equinox”.
The movement of Sun from south to north when the imaginary line in the sky that lies above the Earth’s equator called as the celestial equator is crossed by it is marked by the March equinox. This takes place every year on March 19, 20 or 21.
This event is called as the equinox (that means equal night in Latin) all over the world since the length of night and day is exactly the same i.e. 12 hours. However, in reality, 12 hours of daylight are not exactly there in equinoxes.
