Lemony asparagus pasta Recipe

Ingredients
- 1 c. grated Parmesan
- 1 c. dry white wine
- 2 tbsp. butter
- Extra-virgin olive oil
- 1/2 c. chopped parsley
- Kosher salt
- 1/2 red onion
- 2 garlic cloves
- 1 lb. Macaroni
- 2 lemons
- Freshly ground black pepper
- 1 bunch asparagus
- 1/2 tsp. crushed red pepper flakes
Directions
- Take water in an 8 quart pot and boil it. Season it with salt. As per the instruction given on the packet, cook pasta. Drain pasta reserving one cup of water.
- Over medium high heat, preheat the pan. With olive oil, drizzle asparagus in a large mixing bowl and season it with pepper and salt. Grill asparagus form each side for about 2-4 minutes and then transfer it to board to cut into pieces.
- Cook onion, butter and garlic over medium-low heat in a large skillet for about 2 minutes. Add zest of 1 lemon, white wine, red pepper flakes, 1 tbsp lemon juice, ½ tbsp black pepper and 1 tbsp salt, simmer it for about 3-4 minutes and bring it to boil.
- Mix in asparagus, pasta water, cheese, pasta and parsley after tuning the heat off. Garnish it with the additional parsley and cheese and serve it with the lemon wedges.
