On March 22, 1976, in New Orleans, Louisiana was born Laura Jeanne Reese Witherspoon. Dr. John Draper Witherspoon, who was a military surgeon, is her father and her mother is Mary Elizabeth, who was a Ph.D in pediatric nursing. She also had an elder brother named John Jr. Reese. Reese did her schooling from Harding Academy and graduated from Harpeth Hall School in Nashville and she was good in studies. She has also gone as an English literature major to Stanford University.
