Role of a Family in Child’s Development

Childhood period is the most crucial period of a kid’s life. That is the time when the kid needs the time, cooperation and supervision of different family members. The age old concept of joint families of India, was the best, as the child was nurtured with all the moral values from their childhood, by different family members like grandparents, paternal uncles and aunties etc.. Kids were surrounded by one or the other family member at each point in time, so we were not worried about their safety as well.

But in modern times, we are heading towards the nuclear family concept, where kids are missing on the good old times, now they need to join classes to get morally educated and for their safety, parents are hiring maids, as most of them are working individuals. Through this article, I would like to point out the role of a family in child’s development.
