35 year old Leanne Allerton from Grimsby is a talking point among the You Tube users. Recently she has posted a video of Breastfeeding her 4 year old daughter Poppy. The breast feeding video of her in a family you tube channel has catched an eye of millions of user. This mother has been very transparent about breastfeeding to all her kids.

This 3 minute video clip has attracted lots of viewers towards it and has created a lot of controversies. After seeing the video people has claimed that this 4 year old daughter is “too-old” for breastfeeding. Some people even commented “Sickening’ while some accused her daughter was “too damn big to be breastfeeding.”

One comment on the video clip stated, “How do you expect your child to grow and prosper socially when they are still relying on your boobs for sustenance?”

There were comments like “It most certainly is for the mum feeling she is a better mum when she ‘sacrifices’ herself in this way. One people added, “It’s a pity because the child is being taught total dependency rather than to independently soothe and feel self-sufficient.”
When Leanne was interviewed for her this sensational YouTube video, she said, “I post breastfeeding videos when I feel like talking about things, because there will always be someone out there who is going through the same thing.” Further she admitted that she got a lot of nice suggestions but also a lot of abuse which she tends to delete and block.

Supporting the Leanne American Academy of Pediatrics said that breastfeeding toddler is fine. They even recommend that the mother and child breastfeed until they decide to stop, so, in this regard, every family will be different. Dr. Lori Winter, of the American Academy of Pediatrics said, “That’s in no way damaging to the child.”
